About the Founder
My name is Mariana Butchak, and I am a licensed tour guide and the founder of The Best Tour Guide.
My journey in hospitality and tourism started long before I arrived in Poland.
I graduated from university with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and together with my family, we ran a restaurant business in Ukraine. This experience shaped my passion for guest service, hospitality, and the art of creating unforgettable experiences.
In 2015, I moved to Poland and continued my professional path in tourism. For a period of time, I worked as a manager in a hotel in Gdansk.
Since 2016, I have been working full-time as a tour guide in Gdańsk and the Tricity area, constantly developing my skills and knowledge.
Today, I hold the following official qualifications:
- Licensed city guide: Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia & Hel
- Licensed museum guide in the Emigration Museum (Gdynia)
- Licensed museum guide in the Stutthof Museum
- Graduate of Instytut Kultury Miejskiej – Metropolitan Project, specialising in Gdańsk Shipyard tours
- Nearly 2 years of work experience in the Education Department of Stutthof Museum, where I built strong historical and educational foundations
